A fire broke out at the Gotcha Burger near West Seventh Avenue and Chambers Street in Eugene on April 2, leaving one of the company’s food carts out of service.
The fire started in the cooking area of the food cart, according to Eugene Springfield Fire Battalion Chief Wayne Morris. Staff inside made multiple attempts to extinguish the fire, but it spread quickly due to grease inside the kitchen fryers.
