SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — Pet owners in Springfield looking for a low-cost option to spay or neuter their animals will have one fewer place to turn after the Willamette Animal Guild, known as WAG, closed its doors.
In an announcement dated April 9, the nonprofit said it had no choice but to shut down after a series of challenges. Those included the death of its medical director and the loss of its clinic because of a major roof leak.
