Kitchen Fire Quickly Contained in South Eugene; No Injuries Reported

EUGENE, Ore. — A house fire in south Eugene was quickly brought under control Friday afternoon, with no injuries reported, according to fire officials.

At approximately 1:22 p.m. on April 10, crews with Eugene Springfield Fire responded to a reported structure fire near the intersection of Sweetbriar Lane and East 43rd Avenue.

Engine 15, responding from the South Hills station, arrived on scene about six minutes after dispatch and encountered smoke and flames coming from the rear of the home.
