SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – Three local animal organizations are joining forces on June 6 for “The Big Fix,” a community event aimed at tackling Springfield’s growing cat population.
Lucky Paws Rescue, Feline Good Animal Rescue and Main Street Spay and Neuter are offering spay and neuter services on a pay-what-you-can basis. The event has 100 appointment slots available, but only a quarter have been filled so far.
Organizers spayed or neutered 52 cats at the last event. They’re hoping to double that number this time around…
