Vanderburgh County nears decision on ambulance service provider

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — A major decision is approaching for ambulance service coverage in Vanderburgh County, as county commissioners prepare to select who will provide emergency medical transport services beginning July 1.

Commissioners are weighing three proposals for countywide ambulance coverage: current provider AMR, the Evansville Fire Department, and the Vanderburgh County Fire Department.
