Non profit to acquire 40-unit apartment building in Evansville

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — The Good Samaritan Foundation is committing $5,000,000 for affordable housing in Southwest Indiana.

The nonprofit hope of Evansville was given $200,000 to buy and renovate a 40-unit apartment building on Covert Avenue.

“It’s an affordable housing complex,” Executive Director Josh Calhoun said. “It’ll be too low to moderate income for individuals and families. So we can keep rents affordable.”…
