$3M roadway improvements coming to Evansville

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – The city of Evansville announced it has secured Community Crossings Matching Grant (CCMG) funding from the state of Indiana and unveiled its upcoming road paving plan.

Officials say the road paving plan totals an estimated $3 million in roadway improvements across the city. The CCMG grant covers $1 million of the improvements. City wheel tax revenue and ARPA interest earnings cover the rest of the paving plan.

“Road improvements continue to be a major need across Evansville,” said Mayor Stephanie Terry. “Even after not receiving Community Crossings funding during the last grant cycle, we were able to recover those dollars and are adding an additional $400,000 to help complete more projects this year. We know residents want to see continued progress, and this plan helps us keep moving forward.”
