Henderson commissioner resigns after moving outside city limits

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEVV) — Henderson City Commissioner Nick Whitt announced his resignation from the Board of Commissioners, effective June 30, during a regularly scheduled meeting.

Whitt’s resignation comes after he and his family relocated to a home outside Henderson city limits. This move makes him ineligible to continue serving on the city’s Board of Commissioners.

“It’s been one of the greatest honors of my life to represent the citizens of my hometown,” Whitt said. “I leave office incredibly confident in the leadership within our city government and am confident that we will continue seeing our community make great strides into the future.”…
