EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — An Evansville man is facing multiple charges after police say a 911 caller reported a driver slumped over the wheel on the Lloyd Expressway and the vehicle was later found crashed into a southside garage door with a juvenile inside.
According to an affidavit, officers were alerted around 4:08 p.m. July 9 to a report of a possibly intoxicated driver in a red pick-up truck traveling west on the Lloyd Expressway from Barker Avenue. The caller told dispatch the driver appeared sweaty and was slumped over the steering wheel, then woke up and continued driving slowly, police said.
