HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Evansville Police arrested two suspects following a police chase and standoff on Monroe Avenue overnight.
Authorities say the incident began with an armed robbery at a gas station at Louisiana and Heidelbach at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Sunday. The victim told authorities he was injured after one of the suspects pistol whipped him in the eye. The suspects reportedly stole a vehicle to flee from the scene.
Officers say they spotted the vehicle 20 minutes later at Riverside and Culverson, leading to a chase. Officers say the suspects bailed out of the car on Jackson Avenue before ending up in a home on Monroe Avenue, prompting a response by Evansville Police’s SWAT team…
