Billy’s Downtown Diner, a Lehigh Valley fixture, signs lease for 1st out-of-state franchise

Billy’s Downtown Diner has signed a lease for its first franchised restaurant, marking a milestone in the Lehigh Valley-based brand’s expansion beyond Pennsylvania.

The approximately 3,000-square-foot restaurant will be located at 5301 Pearl Drive in Evansville, Indiana, along the West Lloyd Expressway retail corridor. The site sees more than 33,000 vehicles daily and sits near the University of Southern Indiana and major shopping destinations.

Paul and Kelly Snider, who operated McDonald’s restaurants in the Evansville market for more than 30 years, will own the location along with general manager James Wittman. Earlier this year, the Sniders became the company’s first regional developers, securing rights to open 10 restaurants throughout Evansville, Owensboro and Bowling Green, Kentucky, and surrounding areas…
