EPD: Woman caught with meth, pills, and fentanyl during stop

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – An Evansville woman is facing multiple drug charges after police say a stop on Monday led to the discovery of fentanyl, pills, and meth.

According to a police report, a detective observed 38-year-old Amanda Porter walking across Washington Avenue near Judson Street. Police say Porter failed to cross the street at a 90-degree angle, which is a violation of an Evansville city ordinance.

Officers stopped Porter and say she consented to a search. During the search, officers say they found a cigarette pack containing a marijuana cigarette.

Police say Porter became upset and began reaching for her belongings despite multiple instructions to stop. She was then placed in handcuffs…
