Indiana Supreme Court sets execution date for man convicted of killing 2 Evansville children

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB+WAVE) — The Indiana Supreme Court has set an execution date for a man sentenced to death for killing two children in Evansville 16 years ago.

Jeffrey Weisheit is scheduled to be executed before sunrise Nov. 5 at the Indiana State Prison in Michigan City. The court issued the order Friday, Aug. 28.

Weisheit was convicted of killing 8-year-old Alyssa Lynch and her 5-year-old brother, Caleb Lynch, in 2010. Weisheit was dating the children’s mother and was caring for the children while she was at work…
