Man charged with animal neglect after home found in ‘state of disrepair,’ EPD says

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – An Evansville man was charged with animal neglect and criminal trespass after police say they found him with a dog at a home in a “state of disrepair.”

Officers say they were patrolling Friday evening when they noticed a fire in a barrel at a home on North Governor Street.

During the investigation, officers say they were told someone might be staying at the home, even though notices to vacate were clearly posted on both doors…
