EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – A woman is facing charges after police say she struck construction barrels on the Lloyd Expressway and later crashed into another vehicle Monday morning.
Sarah Elizabeth Houston was arrested on charges of operating with a controlled substance in body and leaving the scene of a crash.
According to a police report, dispatch received a 911 call around 8:10 a.m. Monday about a driver in a black car swerving and hitting several orange construction barrels on the westbound lanes of the Lloyd Expressway near Barker Avenue.
About 15 minutes before that call, officers had also an alert about a possible drunk driver in a black Lexus heading south from a Casey’s gas station on North St. Joseph Avenue…
