HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – The Gibson County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that a 8-year-old girl from Cynthiana died in an early morning crash on I-64 this weekend.
According to a release, emergency crews were dispatched to a report of a fatal crash at the 29-mile marker just after 4 a.m. on Saturday. Witnesses at the scene say that a westbound Jeep crossed the grass median and struck a pickup truck that was traveling eastbound.
Authorities say 8-year-old Isabelle Preske, who had been a passenger in the Jeep, died at the scene before emergency service personnel could arrive. Preske’s mother, Samantha Payne, and two men were transported to the Evansville area for treatment…
