Driver passes out with baby in vehicle after drinking and taking muscle relaxers, EPD says

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – Evansville Police say they arrested a woman on charges of neglect and OWI after finding her passed out behind the wheel with a baby in the back seat.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Washington Avenue and Newburgh Road for a report of a driver asleep behind the wheel with an infant in the back seat just before noon Tuesday.

Police arrived and found the vehicle stopped on Washington Avenue. They say the driver, 26-year-old Myida Kutchma, was slumped over and asleep.

Officers removed a crying baby from the back seat and made several attempts to wake Kutchma…
