Evansville woman’s 2005 murder remains unsolved 21 years later

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – It has been 21 years since an Evansville woman was shot and killed while at work, and her murder remains unsolved.

Jean Cook, 56, was working at the now-closed Busler’s gas station on Highway 41 north of Evansville on Oct. 6, 2005.

Investigators say someone came through the doors with a gun and demanded money, then shot Cook several times. She died a few days later from her injuries…
