ISP: House explosion in southern Indiana heard from 10 miles away

DUBOIS COUNTY, Ind. — Indiana State Police crews are responding to a “large house explosion” in southern Indiana.

ISP Jasper Post crews were called around 6:30 p.m. Monday to Dubois County in response to a large house explosion, according to a recent social media post . Photos of the debris, provided by ISP, can be seen below:

According to ISP, houses a half mile away were damaged in the explosion and the boom could be heard ten miles away.

Both the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office and State Fire Marshal will be investigating the explosion further.
