Local credit union helps with providing safe and affordable housing for veterans

Evansville, In. (WEHT) – On Monday, Heritage Federal Credit Union donated the first check of a $15,000 pledge to the JD Sheth Foundation as part of its “Home of the Brave” housing project.

The project benefits local veterans who have been honorably discharged and meet certain qualifications. Money given by the pledge will go towards building a veteran’s home in Boonville.

Foundation officials say affordable housing is an issue for everyone, but they are honored to be able to support those who fought for our country. “We couldn’t do what we do without support,” says foundation CEO & founder Jamie Sheth. “We continuously solicit for funding and you just never know who’s going to support and who has the passion for the things that you do, and so this really means a lot to us.”

This will be the foundation’s fourth home built in the United States.
