Eastland Mall shooting scare suspect reaches plea agreement

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – A plea agreement has been reached with one of the suspects in last summer’s shooting scare at Eastland Mall in Evansville.

16-year-old Braylin Underwood, who is being tried as an adult, has pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm and resisting arrest. Last summer, Eastland Mall went on lockdown after an argument led to a large fight.

Man involved in officer involved shooting pleads guilty

Underwood’s plea deal calls for a 4-year sentence, which includes a year in prison. His sentencing hearing has been set for February 13. Another young man arrested in the investigation, 18-year-old Jerry Morrow, is currently waiting for his day in court.
