Bid awarded for renovations to Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Evansville

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – The Vanderburgh County Commission has chosen a contractor for renovations to the Veterans Memorial Coliseum. The over $5 million contract was awarded to a company based in Bloomington.

The coliseum was closed in December, after the county took over the building’s lease. Officials say they plan to transform the space into a ‘multi-use’ facility. The renovations will include improved electrical infrastructure and fire suppression systems.
