Deputies say vehicle goes airborne during pursuit

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — An Evansville man was arrested after deputies said his vehicle went airborne between two houses during a pursuit.

Deputies said they tried to pull over Darius Brown Jr. for traffic violations early Sunday morning in Vanderburgh County.

According to an affidavit, Brown sped away through an alley. Deputies said that’s when Brown’s vehicle went airborne between two houses, hit a utility pole, and rolled over on its side.

Deputies said Brown smelled like marijuana and an open alcohol container was found in the vehicle. While speaking to deputies, they said he admitted to smoking marijuana and drinking alcohol.

Brown was released from the hospital with no injuries and was taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail.
