EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Evansville Mayor Stephanie Terry announced the appointment of Philip Smith as the chief of the Evansville Police Department and Tony Knight as the chief of the Evansville Fire Department.

The mayor’s office thanked former Evansville Police Chief Billy Bolin for 12 years of service in the Evansville community, and Paul Anslinger for his service as the interim fire chief.
Webster County Law Enforcement to receive new AEDs
Both new chiefs shared common initiatives, such as providing transparency and focusing on recruiting and retaining firefighters and officers.
