EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – A dog named Stanley was put to sleep Monday morning in Evansville, just hours before he was set to be placed in a foster home. Proving Animals are Worth Saving (PAAWS) is an organization that sets rescue animals up with a foster home. They say Stanley was ready to go, but a lack of communication meant he was put down by Evansville Animal Control before they could hand him back over.
