911 call leads to two arrests in Owensville

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Gibson County Sheriff’s deputies arrested two people in Owensville on Sunday after a 911 caller reported an attempted break-in.

According to a release, central dispatch received a call from a residence in the 7900 block of South 1100 West just before 6 p.m.. The caller reported that their neighbor, Timothy Dowdy, 47, was attempting to break into their home. The caller also told authorities Dowdy was intoxicated and shooting a firearm.

Authorities say Dowdy returned to his home by the time law enforcement arrived and a short standoff ensued. During the standoff, Brittany Marginet, 36, who lives with Dwody, drove up to the scene and said Dowdy may have passed out from alcohol consumption. Dowdy exited the home and was taken into custody.
