HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT)- Evansville Police are investigating after a man was shot late last night.
EPD shares information about spotting a counterfeit bill
Officers were called to the 800 block of West Virginia St. just after 11:00 p.m., when they say they found a man with a gunshot wound. Officers were able to administer first aid until medics arrived, and the victim was taken to a local hospital.
Authorities say the victim was conscious, alert and able to speak with officers when they arrived at the scene. Evansville Police say the shooter and the victim are roommates, and the shooter cooperated with officers at the scene.
Police say the shooting appears to be accidental. A release from EPD says the roommates were cleaning and reassembling their firearms when the accidental discharge occurred.
