HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – An Evansville man arrested for making death threats against the Bishop of the Evansville Catholic diocese may avoid charges.
Andrew Cheaney was arrested in June of last year after making threats toward Bishop Joseph Siegel. Police say that Cheaney made these threats because Bishop Siegel refused to make a “theological demand” that Cheaney had requested.

Officials say that if Andrew Cheaney completes mental health treatment, the intimidation charges against him will be dropped.
