OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) — Lure Seafood and Grille is serving up more than chicken wings on Super Bowl Sunday.
Eyewitness News is told it opened its doors for a Taylor Swift party during the game while benefitting Girls Inc. — an organization dedicated to inspire girls to be smart, strong and bold.
The party pays homage to Taylor Swift — who has earned numerous Grammys and is the girlfriend to the Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
Across generations, fans met inside Lure for the Taylor Swift specials and for friendship bracelets, used to celebrate Swift’s different albums. The albums are better known as “eras.”
Lure owner — Ben Skiadas — says the restaurant has tons of support.
“I think it’s been really cool to see a new era of fans in a different demographic and people getting interested in football because of the Taylor crossover,” Skiadas said. “All the sports we’ve been seeing an integration of girls’ strength and girls’ sports getting a better foot in the game. The NFL has a program where they involve kids all the time, so let’s support the girls.”
