State legislators hear community concerns at Evansville-Vanderburgh Public Library

EVANSVILLE, In. (WEHT)- State representatives, Ryan Hatfield and Cindy Ledbetter, and State Senator Vaneta Becker, met residents inside the Evansville-Vanderburgh Red Bank Library, to hear from the community.

Members of the community brought up issues about autonomous vehicles, preserving Indiana’s wetlands, balancing Medicaid with the state budget, and rising energy costs.

Representative Ledbetter says federal regulations are among the reasons to blame for the rise in energy costs, “as they’re pushing for us to go green, you know, with our energy from wind and solar”.
