Police respond to report of person with a gun

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — Part of a street in Evansville was shut down as police responded to a report of a person with a gun on Thursday.

Dispatch said the call came in just before 6 p.m.

A witness told Eyewitness News that officers were using a loudspeaker to call someone out of a home in the 1400 block of Conlin Avenue.

Police said the call originated from someone pointing a gun at someone on West Franklin Street.

Police said they believed the suspect was at a home on Conline Avenue, but no one came out.

We’re told police plan on filing an arrest warrant.
