Multiple agencies dispatched to fire in Vanderburgh County

VANDERBURGH COUNTY, Ind. (WEHT) – Multiple agencies were dispatched to reports of a structure fire in the 2200 block of Glenview Drive on Wednesday.

Officials say crews found smoke coming from the collection vacuum at a wood cabinetry plant, used to collect wood shavings. There was reportedly a high risk for an explosion because of the wood dust, but firefighters were able to extinguish the fire in approximately 40 minutes.

No injuries were reported and there seems to be only minimal damage to the building itself.
