U.S. 60 ramp resurfacing planned in Owensboro starting October 3

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Officials say a contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) is planning temporary ramp blockages on U.S. 60 in Daviess County beginning October 3 to accommodate an ongoing resurfacing project.

The KYTC says each ramp will be closed for up to two hours while it is being paved. Work will begin at the exit ramp from U.S. 60 eastbound to KY 144 (21.6 mm), then move to the on ramp from KY 144 to U.S. 60 eastbound. On Friday crews will start with the exit ramp from U.S. 60 westbound to KY 144 (22.3 mm), then pave the on ramp from KY 144 to U.S. 60 westbound.

Officials say there will be no marked detour. Eastbound traffic can utilize KY 2830 if needed. Westbound traffic would need to use the KY 603 interchange if their ramp is blocked. Work will continue next week with the paving of ramps from U.S. 60 to KY 54 and KY 603.
