NEWBURGH, Ind. (WFIE) – The Maranatha Baptist Church in Newburgh has been a busy spot ever since they started gathering supplies to take to areas affected by Hurricane Helene. “I always tell our people at church, ‘Talk is cheap, we’re going to have opportunities to actually put our faith into action,’ and what a perfect opportunity to show people the love of Christ and to be there for people in their hour of need,” said Maranatha Baptist Church pastor, Joey Pearson.
