Vanderburgh Humane Society offering free adoptions before taking in hurricane affected pets

HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – The Vanderburgh Humane Society is parting with Best Friends Animal Society to accept some pets that will be displaced from Hurricane Milton.

Due to this, the shelter is offering free adoptions to make room for the incoming pets from Wednesday to Sunday, October 13.

Officials state this applies to every pet in their care: dogs, cats, puppies, kittens, small animals and cats at the River Kitty Cat Cafe.
