HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — Authorities are investigating a shooting in Evansville that left one injured early Saturday morning.
Police say the shooting happened around 12:05 a.m. Saturday morning in the 1000 block of Washington Avenue. They say the call came in as a victim who had been shot.
When officers arrived on scene they say they found an adult male with a single gunshot wound to his abdomen and was conscious, alert and able to speak with officers.
The shooter was said to have been on scene and police say he cooperated with officers.
Police say they believe this to be a physical altercation between the two males and a shot was fired.
No arrests have been made.
This is still an active investigation.
