HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — Oct. 31 is the first day voters in the state of Kentucky can cast their early voter ballot. Chase Fulcher Archery Center is the one early voting polling center open in Henderson County.
“Be ready for a little bit of a line,” county clerk Renese Abner said. “Like I said, the turnout is going to be great.”
Abner said her and her team felt ready for the large expected turnout.
“We are prepared for the extra people,” she said. “Just everyone be patient with us. We are all there to get it done and for everyone to be safe and have a great day.”
The early voting period is open for three days in Kentucky, from Oct. 31 to Nov. 2.
Abner said if the early voting window doesn’t work out, more polling locations would be made available on Nov. 5.
“For early voting it’s just the one location, but on election day we have seven locations,” she said. “In Henderson, they are all polling locations where anyone can go vote. So if you live out in the county, you can vote in one of the city locations if you work in the city. It’s really neat, we have a lot of availability and options for people.”
