HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — A balloon release is being held for Emmanuel Malachi Young, who was shot and killed at Tepe Park on Tuesday night.
Juveniles charged with murder after Tepe Park shooting
On Sunday at 12 p.m., a balloon release will be held in his memory at Tepe Park.
Along with the announcement of the balloon release, Young’s sister, Cherita, shared the following statement about her brother:
Emmanuel (Malachi) was a very lovable and joyful person to be around. He had a smile that could light up a room. He was a caring and kindhearted person. In his free time, he loved to hang with his girlfriend and newborn son, fish with family, hang out with his sister and niece and nephews, and hangout with his friends. His favorite sport is football. He was so full of life and had a happy spirit. He loves to have fun and crack jokes. He was so happy to be a first-time father and adored his son very much. His smile and bright personality will not be forgotten. He was murdered 25 days after his birthday, and 8 days after his son was born.
