VANDERBURGH COUNTY, Ind. (WEVV) – An 18-year-old is now facing criminal charges after authorities say he led them on a pursuit because he was “scared.” A Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office deputy said they spotted 18-year-old McLaren Ascherl going 60 MPH in a 30 MPH zone on Middle Mt. Vernon Road around 7 p.m. Sunday.
