Evansville City Council welcomes new member

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — The Evansville City Council welcomes Tanisha Carothers, who was sworn in as the new 4th Ward City council member. She replaced Alex Burton, who was elected as a state representative last week.

Carothers is the principal attorney for “T. Carothers Law Offices” in Evansville and says she is excited to serve the community in this new role.

“No matter how involved you are, it is always great to have a seat at the table to really understand how your city actually functions,” says Carothers.

Carothers tells us she is still learning the ropes but is energized about her new position.
