EVANSVILLE – The person who was killed Monday after reportedly being struck by a vehicle has been identified as a 60-year-old Evansville woman.
In a Tuesday morning news release, the Vanderburgh County Coroner’s Office named the victim as Jeannette Arcile Fleurival.
According to Evansville police reports, officers were sent to the 4200 block of Washington Avenue just before 4 p.m. Tuesday for an accident that had “caused serious bodily injury.”
Crime scene investigators were eventually called to the scene, but no arrests had been made as of Wednesday. And they aren’t likely to be.
“At this time we don’t believe there will be any arrests,” EPD spokeswoman Trudy Day told the Courier & Press.
