This time of year, you get the good with the bad in Evansville.
The bad: It gets dark early. Very early. By the time 5 p.m. rolls around, it might as well be midnight out there.
The good: We’re closing in on the Christmas season, and that means those dark, dreary nights can be illuminated by holiday light displays at businesses, churches and homes.
For some, it’s a matter of stringing some lights across the bushes in the front yard landscaping.
For others, it’s time to go the Clark Griswold route and put on a display so bright that it strains the local power plant.
This year, we’re bringing you the Courier & Press Holiday Lights map to help point you towards some of the best and the brightest.
But we can’t do it without your help. If your home, business or church setup is one you’re proud of – or you know someone or somewhere with a stunning show – tell us where the display is and why it is special.
Please submit your information by Nov. 22. Our goal is to publish the first version of the map Thanksgiving week.
