Crews battle massive fire at Evansville restaurant

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — Crews battled a fire at an Evansville restaurant on Christmas night.

Firefighters were sent to Sauced on Parrett Street. Flames could be shooting from the top of the building.

The Evansville Fire Department says crews initially worked inside to fight the fire but were called out because of “intensifying conditions.”

After about 30 minutes of outside tactics, firefighters could go back inside.

Officials say the fire was under control in about an hour and a half.

We’re told no one was hurt.

Firefighters believe the fire started in a second-floor apartment. The cause is under investigation.
