Warming shelter to allow cats and dogs for Wednesday only

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — Officials with the Red Cross say cats and dogs will be allowed at the Lincoln Elementary warming shelter for today (January 8) only.

Warming and overnight shelters open in the Tri-State amid winter storm

Officials say that pet owners must bring their own kennels and supplies for their pets.

Pets will not be allowed in any other warming shelters. Pets will not be allowed in the Lincoln Elementary warming shelter past January 8.

The Lincoln Elementary warming shelter is located at 635 Lincoln Avenue in Evansville.
