Crews respond after vehicle crashes on Claremont and Tekoppel in Evansville

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Crews were called to the scene of an accident after a vehicle ran off the road at Claremont and Tekoppel avenues in Evansville.

Officials at the scene say they believe the vehicle (a Chrysler 300) was traveling too fast while crossing Tekoppel, going through a stop sign and causing it to nearly hit a Toyota SUV. This caused the Chrysler to swerve to avoid the SUV, hitting a speed limit sign before coming to rest in the ditch. Evansville Police and crews from the Evansville Fire Department were called to the scene for traffic control and a wrecker was called to pull the Chrysler out.

No injuries were reported.
