Ultrarunner stops in Vanderburgh County during 2,000-mile midwest journey

VANDERBURGH COUNTY, Ind. (WEVV) – Community members gathered Saturday morning at the Four Freedoms Monument to support Suzan Brydon, an ultrarunner and youth empowerment advocate, as she embarked on a 2,000-mile run across the Midwest.

Brydon, who plans to follow the American Discovery Trail’s Central Southern Route, will run from just outside Cincinnati to downtown Denver over the next 90 days—averaging about 23 miles each day.

Before continuing her journey, Brydon shared her story and spoke about her mission to uplift young girls and promote access to outdoor spaces. She is using the run to raise awareness and funds for two organizations: Girls on the Run and the American Discovery Trail Society…
