B-29 Superfortress ‘DOC’ to land in Evansville for history restored tour

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) – One of only two airworthy B-29 Superfortresses in the world has touched down at the Evansville Wartime Museum this spring as part of the History Restored Tour.

The historic B-29 known as DOC will be on display May 8–11, 2025, offering visitors a rare chance to tour the aircraft and experience what it was like to fly one of World War II’s bombers. The tour is one of several stops across the country celebrating the legacy of American aviation.
