Job Corps center in Morganfield in jeopardy due to potential budget cuts

MORGANFIELD, Ky. (WFIE) – For over 60 years, Job Corps has been a staple for low-income students across the United States looking to further their education and career. At Job Corps, students receive experience needed to earn a career or apprenticeship, go on to college or join the military all for free.

The Earle C. Clements Job Corps Center in Morganfield is one of the nation’s largest facilities and employees over 300 people. Many in the community say it is a valuable resource, not just to students, but to the entirety of Union County.
