Evansville’s Willard Library to Hold 2nd Annual Half-Pot ‘Renovation Raffle’

A Library That Has Stood the Test of Time

If you’ve ever strolled past the gorgeous Gothic-style Willard Library on First Avenue, you know it’s one of Evansville’s most stunning landmarks. Built way back in 1885, it’s not just Indiana’s oldest public library – it’s a true piece of local history. But like any 140-year-old beauty, Willard needs a little TLC every now and then to keep shining for future generations.

That’s where you come in!

How You Can Help – and Maybe Win Some Cash!

The Friends of Willard Library – a dedicated group of volunteers who’ve been supporting this Evansville treasure since 1972 – are inviting the community to take part in their Renovation Raffle, a half-pot drawing designed to help cover some much-needed renovation costs.

Here’s how it works: From now through August 8th, you can grab your raffle tickets for just $5 each. The winning ticket will be drawn on August 9th, and the lucky winner takes home half the total pot! It’s a fun and easy way to give back and possibly walk away with some serious cash.

When and Where to Get Your Tickets

You can buy your tickets inside or outside Willard Library and at other participating locations throughout Evansville. Whether the pot ends up a few hundred bucks or soars to something Fall Festival-sized (hey, we can dream!), every ticket sold helps maintain this beloved piece of Evansville’s past…
