HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – An Evansville man was arrested on multiple charges after he allegedly attempted to dispose of narcotics before a traffic stop.
Authorities say on June 18, a detective with the Evansville Police Department Street Crimes Unit attempted to stop a pickup truck for traffic violations on John Street near First Avenue. An affidavit says both an EPD detective and an ATF special agent in the area saw a man in the passenger seat throw two white plastic bags out of the window and on to the roadway.
Authorities detained the three occupants of the vehicle, including the man in the front passenger seat, who was identified as Jerron Reed, 43. During a search of the vehicle, authorities say they found a handgun in the glovebox on the passenger side. All three occupants of the vehicle denied ownership or knowledge of the handgun…
